- Factor3 was formed in 1986 as Brokerage Software Systems to develop productivity and compliance related software systems for legacy base back-office systems employed by brokers and dealers in securities. These systems provided enhanced functionality to existing legacy systems they did not previously possess. As the use of the Internet and network based systems became more prevalent in the brokerage business, Factor3 adapted its systems to function in this new environment and to provide new delivery methods making them available to a broader range of customers. In response to the changes in business precipitated by the advent of the Internet and the expanded scope of our users, in 1999 the company reorganized as Factor3. While Factor3’s core customer base still comes from the financial service business, recent amendments to the Patriot Act have resulted in a myriad of new business opportunities. Today, Factor3’s software systems are deployed across a broad range of industry systems bringing enhanced functionality and sophisticated surveillance and compliance systems to numerous financial service businesses, retail and industrial concerns, and service businesses, worldwide. Factor3 is known for is economical and comprehensive approach to systems development and integration.
