Dear Folks,

We first bicycled across Italy in the late 1960s as crazy college students with an urge to see the world up close. What we discovered was a lifetime of adventure. We've been stuck with our VW van in the Sahara. Walked with our donkey "Benjamin" in Greece. Hitchhiked twice across Turkey. Crossed the Persian Gulf from Iran to Bahrain in an Arab dhow. And hiked and biked throughout the United States, Italy, Ireland, Germany's Black Forest, the islands of the Mediterranean, and the European Alps - just to name a few.

Thirty years, two kids and two PhDs later, that spirit of adventure is still with us. We still love to explore the world up close and since 1972 we have been helping people like you do the same. We continue to walk the countryside, bicycle the vineyards, and get to know the locals. Nothing fancy, just great experiences in great places with a great meal at the end of the day.

Our tours have a slight educational bent to them - no lectures, just good, fun, intellectual exploring. And when you get home, we're betting you will feel as if you've really been someplace new and different. We'd be delighted to have you join us!
