CHEERS! and welcome to EXCELLENT ONLINE, the premier home for North American fans of UK Indie music. We also function as the homepages for the Excellent-UK-Indie Mailing List, an e-mail collective for Anglophiles across the globe.
Since you're here and reading this now, odds are that you're a Brit Indie fan just like us, which means you've just found a safehaven. Now, many UK Indie sites out there seem to feel that it's necessary to begin an information section with a quaint little diatribe about how Gene or Radiohead or whoever changed their lives, and how those who DON'T listen to Gene or Radiohead or whoever are tossers. We'll spare you the poetry, folks. If you're here, you're part of the Brit Indie extremist fanbase, just like us, so by now you should know the score. There's no need in telling you how important the music is, it's already a driving force in your life.
EXCELLENT takes the usual Brit Indie site and puts an altogether new spin to it. Most of our members, list administrators, and visitors are based in the US and Canada. And over here, it's PARTICULARLY tough to find information on our favorite bands, let alone their MUSIC. That's where WE come in.
