About
Euphoric Reality was founded by Air Force veteran Kit Lange (known as Kit Jarrell from March 2005 to June 2007) in December 2004. Army vet Heidi Thiess came on board in early 2005 while Lange was covering the Ilario Pantano case, and the two women went on to achieve Top 10 Military Blog status for 2005, based largely on their exclusive insider coverage of the Pantano case, live content from the Houston Astrodome during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, and their 10-part series titled Brother Against Brother, a project that investigated war crime allegations against an elite Army unit in Vietnam.

In 2006, the pair continued their coverage of troops accused of crimes, and brought exclusive information in the SSG Ray Girouard case, the Pendleton 8, and the Haditha case. They also expanded their writing base to include the illegal immigration issue, founding Guard the Borders, a 70-blog coalition of bloggers against illegal immigration. During the summer of 2006, Lange covered the hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah live and in depth, earning her kudos from several Israeli bloggers. Thiess wrote extensively on the Islamic threat, and the two received several death threats from various Islamic groups.

Thiess retired from blogging in April of 2007, and Lange continues to write at not only Euphoric Reality, but also at several other blogs. Lange also serves as the host of The Front Line, an internet talk radio show that airs twice weekly on BlogTalkRadio.com.
