EtherDesigns, the Original WiFi cAntenna

EtherDesigns started in the fall of 2000. After many years of being a system / network administrator, I decided I'd had enough of the IT rat race and working 60 hours a week.
To supplement my small consultant business, I started making and selling the infamous Pringles yagi antenna on eBay. It started by making some for my friends, and once word-of-month spread, I had people wanting to purchase them from me.
Using my experience as an amateur radio operator, I realized the Pringles antenna has some severe limitations. After some research, I found a much better design to be a 'wave-guide' directional antenna. I came up with a design using off-the-shelf components that was a great improvement over the Pringles design. Again, I started selling these on eBay, and before long, some buyers 'reverse-engineered' my design and started selling them as their own.
