- The European Theatre Convention (ETC) is an association which represents 36 theatre companies and their artists in 21 European countries. ETC aims to foster the exchange of ideas individuals and productions in order to improve inter-cultural knowledge. This results in a real and important European network of cooperation in the field of theatre. In the fall 2003, the ETC has celebrated its fifteenth anniversary. Fifteen years of linking people, men and women who make theatre in Europe. Fifteen years of sharing with the public the diverse perspectives of different theatre cultures; fifteen years of efforts to participate to the opening of a united Europe which preserves its diversity and understands that its languages are a source of enrichment and not of division.
