Michael Penders is the President of Environmental Security International (ESI), a firm that conducts investigations, vulnerability assessments, environmental security audits, designs environmental security systems for critical infrastructure facilities, and offers training and policy services in related areas.
Over the last three years, Mr. Penders has led vulnerability assessments and environmental security audits at drinking and waste water systems and critical infrastructure facilities of all sizes, including the largest advanced waste water treatment facility in the world in Washington DC. He has directed investigations into acts of terrorism, industrial sabotage, and environmental crimes in North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and is responsible for the identification and apprehension of terrorists targeting water systems in Africa and Europe. In August 2004, Mr. Penders chaired the US/Israel group of experts that developed the first draft international standard for Security Management Systems (SMS). Continued Here
