- A drama about two astronauts whose space-ship passes through a time warp. When they return to Earth, they discover 2000 years have passed and the planet is now being ruled by apes. While spaceman Pete Burke is resigned to the prevailing adversity, astronaut Alan Virdon continues his quest to return back through the time warp to rejoin his wife and child. Aware that humans once ruled the earth, chimpanzee Galen befriends and aids the two men escaping other constantly pursuing apes.
