Description

We have been raising English setters since 1980. We are fortunate to live in southwestern North Dakota, where upland game birds thrive. In a good day of dog training or hunting, we will see several hundred to several thousand wild pheasants. Many of the top bird dog trainers in North America come to our part of the state to train their bird dogs.

Our goal has always been to improve the breed. My wife Marian and I have been fortunate to meet a lot of great bird dog people in the last 25 years. These knowledgeable men and women have helped us immeasurably as we continue.

I really like to hunt a lot. I live right in the middle of the best wild pheasant hunting in North America and I get to spend lots of time afield. Sometimes when I am out, it's just me, my friends and 10,000 pheasants. It is great and I love it. Marian and I like dogs that like to point a lot, point early and back naturally with style.
