Description
A classically trained photographer since 1979, Darlene shoots with Canon digital equipment throughout Florida; she also travels the country and sometimes beyond for a diverse client base. Her career portfolio includes photographs created for fine art as well as stallion and farm advertising, casual portraits, editorial and equine stock images.
Though mainly known for her work with Paso Finos, Darlene's skills are equally adept capturing the varied needs of other breeds and disciplines. Her photographic work reveals an artistic view combined with the accuracy of journalistic realism. Dynamic images that reflect her spiritual and lifelong connection to the horse.
Shooting the event of Combined Driving is a special forte' that shows her enthusiasm for the sport as a competitor and journalistic artist. A member of the American Driving Society and the Florida Whips, Darlene competed in driving events with her Arabian mare, Summer; she uses this experience to photograph the driving world and its horses with dramatic accuracy and perspective.
