Envy Me owner/designer, Missie Rick, received a sewing machine when she graduated from nursing school in 1995. She began sewing and smocking when her daughter, Hannah, was 4 years old.
Having always loved clothing, color and design, Missie is completely self-taught in sewing, smocking, embroidery, and applique work. As a novice in the marketplace, she began by creating purses and holding purse parties; fun, but not artistically satisfying. So in 2001, she decided to focus only on children's clothing.
Missie attends a few select markets and trunk shows, but most orders come from repeat customers or by word-of-mouth as well as the website.
