Employer Scorecard - Where You Rate Your Previous And Current Employers

Overview

This website was created in 2004 and was inspired by working for a previous, to be unnamed employer. The design and layouts were done by a co-worker, and we basically set the site loose. Let's just say they sell lots of junk to women through a print catalog at their workplace and the items are really cheap and really addictive to buy. And for a long time they were really popular, until now.

The intent of the site originally was to offer a funny survey that would allow for one existing employee to communicate with a future employer. This would in some way give you a notion of what life at the company would be like. This is not exactly like The Vault, a popular site that gets the goods on employers, and not like F'dcompany.com, a website that really was for pissed off employees. In this case this site is not a place to put information, but rather a place to create a short survey based study on life at a company.

This is why the questions are posed in a way that is not meant to be harmful in describing the employers. What is negative to one person, may be positive to another. For instance, the fact that company starts late in the morning is good to one person and bad to another. So the questions at EmployerScorecard, are meant to be neutral and are not derogatory, but rather informative.

Plus there is also the fun factor. What would a survey like this be like, without fun. Also, if you EmployerScorecard, make sure you forward the site on to your friends and family to try it out.

Update

As of June 2007, the site still had a whole bunch of bugs. That is why I went in and fixed the bugs, so now if you add a new employer, the results will show up. So, for the initial users of this site, there was no way to see the survey results. This has been fixed.
