Description
As an engineer, Niall McCormack was interested in solving problems and particularly in "turning what is useless into something useful." He travelled, observed, then came back to Ireland with his American wife, Tracy, whom he met after she watched him play hurling in Chicago's Gaelic Park.
In Feb (’04) his company, Element Green, celebrates a year in operation. It's not the kind of company you might expect an engineer or IT expert to have set up, because it is as far from technology as you can get. It is based entirely on the diet of worms.
What worms eat has become the basis of Niall's successful business which, in its first year of operation from Boreenmanna Road in Cork city has supplied more than 600 customers with the best organic waste disposal personnel on the planet - thousands of worms, complete in their wormeries.
