About Electric Blues
The concept of Electric Blues slowly evolved over time. I've wanted to establish a web site for some time, but I wanted it to have purpose, I wanted it to tie into something I'm interested in, and also something that might interest other 'Net surfers. I believe I have found that purpose and interest. Electric Blues went on line Oct 10, 1997. This site is a place to share thoughts and info on the Blues in general, and contemporary electric Blues in particular.
One of the main components of Electric Blues is the Artist/CD Index. This section has grown to become an extensive directory of National, International, and Independent Blues artists, and includes links to artist websites and online purchasing information. Also available in this section are CD ratings and comments by EB visitors from around the world, as well as links to online reviews. The strength of the CD ratings lies in visitor input. You may or may not agree with my personal evaluation of a particular CD. If, on the other hand, several people have rated a CD, those combined ratings carries much more weight.
In the EB Picks section I list my own personal favorite Artists/CDs. There's also a CD Review Index, which features online CD reviews done by Electric Blues and other Blues sites. Electric Blues also gives away free CDs every month, in the Promotional Free CD Giveaway.
