Electec National College of Technology (trading as Electec College) is a private tertiary college specialising in the fields of electrotechnology, computing and information technology. The college was founded in 1997 by a group of Canterbury businessmen led by Dennis Chapman, a well-known electronics industry entrepreneur and a shareholder/director of numerous New Zealand technology and educational software companies.
