On the first week of July 2006, the Executive Director of the Egyptian Institute of Directors, Dr. Ashraf Gamal, and the Executive Director of "Hawkama", Institute of Corporate Governance, will sign an MOU next week. The MOU aims to pave the way for cooperation between the two institutes to promote Corporate Governance in the MENA region. This will happen through offering training courses and organizing Corporate Governance events jointly between the two institutes. This MOU reflects the interest of the Egyptian Institute of Directors of cooperating with regional organizations interested in promoting Corporate Governance in the region and in improving the investment environment in the region in order to boost chances of cooperation between business organizations in the region.
On July 5, 2006 the EIoD organized A "Corporate Governance for Public Enterprise Sector" conference.
