Englewood Christian Church of Jacksonville was founded in September, 1958, by a group of Christians from North Shore Christian Church. Since that faithful beginning over 44 years ago, there has been but a single purpose guiding this congregation.
That purpose has remained true. Englewood Christian Church of Jacksonville continues to provide the conditions, atmosphere, and outreach necessary for those converted to the teachings of the Gospels of the New Testament Bible and Jesus Christ, to worship and carry forward the commandments of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Further, that the body of worshipers at Englewood Christian Church shall be completely independent, self-governed, and self-supported, participating in no fund raising or profit making ventures; rather that all income shall come from the body itself and shall be fully expended solely for the purpose of continuing activities of the nature as commanded in the New Testament Bible, which are to promote and provide Jesus Christ's teachings and the plan of Salvation to all on the local level, and in foreign countries through missions programs."
