The Emmitsburg Volunteer Ambulance Company 26 Inc. Is dedicated to providing the Emmitsburg Community and surrounding area with professional pre-hospital medical services as well as providing education and training to all.
The Company is committed to providing quality care in a timely and professional manner with a highly trained and certified staff of Volunteers.
The Emmitsburg Volunteer Ambulance Company has a proud tradition of providing emergency services to the town of Emmitsburg, MD and surrounding communities for over 50 years. Our current station was built in 1988, on land leased from Frederick County. Since its beginnings, the company has enjoyed a great working relationship with local civic groups and businesses. The Company was originally sponsored by the VFW and the American Legion and still works closely with those organizations. The Company currently serves the community with 2 ambulances and a special response unit staffed by volunteer personnel. They work in conjunction with Career EMS personnel from the Frederick County DFRS.
