About Me
My name is Eckhard Lehmann. I am a 28 years old German, living in Germany - to be more concrete in Peißenberg, south bavaria.
In 2005 I completed my education as Dipl. Ing. for Bioinformatics, a degree that is approximately equal to bachelor with honors in international education systems. Since this time I am working at Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg as System analyst.
My motivation to become a software engineering specialist came relatively late. I was born in eastern Germany (Saxony) as son of a self employed Baker. My mother studied computer science in Dresden, and now works as well in the bakery. I went to secondary school for ten years from 1983 till 1993. Then, with 16 years I decided to become a baker as well as my father and accordingly did an apprenticeship till 1996. During this time I already recognised that this was not the right profession for me. I started to plan for a different career after my apprenticeship but still worked as baker for a little bit more than a year.
