- This purpose of this website is to increase the awareness of the dangers of dyes and artificial colors in foods and drugs. I know from personal experiences that the careless actions of food and medical industries can cause hardships to unknowing parents. My daughter had a seizure when she was 4 after we gave her an over the counter medication for children that starts with the letter "B". This medication contained red dye. We did not make the connection at that time because the doctors said it was due to a spiked fever. We made the connection after we realized some of her ADHD tendencies were directly related to dyes in food. We also got a clue after she had a second seizure from the same medication about a year later. So not only has dyes affected her with medication dyes are also in almost every type of food available for children her age.
