In 1832 James Duff, his wife Jane and adult son, James, emigrated to Canada and settled on the 11th Concession Road. They were called the Lakeshore Duffs. In 1843, James' younger brother, William, emigrated with his wife, Margaret and their 8 children. They were called the Duffs of Orena Villa. No one knows why this branch of the Duffs are called Duff of Orena Villa. There are a few hints on photographs, written in old ink, "Orena Villa". There is a small place in Scotland called Orea Villa.
