DSM Biologics is one of the world's leading contract manufacturers of biopharmaceuticals. The company is recognised for its experience with a range of different expression systems (microbial and mammalian) and its expertise in a variety of fermentation and purification techniques.
Since we do not develop our own products, nor do we take any product right positions, we are able to serve the entire biotech and pharmaceutical industry sector as a dedicated service provider.
DSM Biologics was established in 1986 and operates two cGMP facilities on both sides of the Atlantic. The 3,500 m² European facilities in Groningen, the Netherlands, were cGMP certified and licensed in March 1994. In November 1997 the FDA succesfully inspected them. The 6,500 m² North American plant in Montreal, Canada came into operation in October 1998 and is routinely TPP inspected.
