was organized in 1911 to serve the residents in and around the small towns of Drake and Beemont. In 1911, and for some years afterwards, members were assessed a premium only when a loss occurred. Bills are now sent yearly, biannually or quarterly, based on each policyholder's anniversary date. In 1984, Drake-Beemont rented an office at 310 N. First St. in Owensville, MO that had space for all the records and a boardroom for monthly meetings.
