Tea Company is a small, family-run business located in beautiful Seattle, Washington. We are the epitome of a "mom and pop" business with only three employees, myself, my wife, and our 2 year old son, who insists on sampling all the teas and giving us his own opinion on them.
Dragonwater was founded in 2003, at the time my son, Max, was born. It's a simple story really. While my wife was in labor at the hospital, I was frustrated and disappointed at the selection of teas I was subjected to. I'd long ago lost a taste for coffee, and I could not get through the night without some caffeine. So I drank tea that had expired years ago and was not much to speak of in its prime, I'm sure. It was there in the hospital that the idea for Dragonwater was born. In the wee hours before my own son would come into the world.
In the weeks that followed, my wife and I discussed the idea of forming our own tea company. One with standards. Where only the best teas in the world would grace the shelves. Where one never had to wonder what they were going to get or how fresh it was going to be. Everything would be fresh and of the highest quality or it would be thrown away, period.
