As in all matters sublime, there exists an element of the sacred. In awe this is brought to life. To experience this sweet sense of the sacred requires an effort of consciousness; an ever-awakening perspective of the psyche. To illustrate this sense of awakening I offer this brief story: Once, in autumn, the Emperor traveled to the Sage and asked, “When shall the next leaf fall, wise one?” The Sage replied gently, “It has already fallen.” To become aware requires vigilance.
