Since the release of the findings of the Women Health Initiative (WHI) studies, midlife women are bewildered by a variety of mixed messages. Many are told by healthcare providers that they should stop HRT, resulting in menopausal symptoms, and that the decision to continue or stop HRT is up to them. Most of these women are very confused. Are you one of them?
Finding the best course for relief of menopausal symptoms and prevention of long-term diseases can be very challenging. The challenge, for women and healthcare providers alike, is to recognize the strengths and shortcomings of the various options currently available and to make the right choices according to their very personal profile.
