  • He completed his residency in ophthalmology in New Orleans followed by a fellowship in corneal surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.
  • He also studied and completed fellowship training on the airborne eye hospital, Project Orbis, which travels to Third World countries offering surgical eye care.
