"Us" happened when mutual friends decided we needed to meet each other. Doug had traveled from Georgia to Washington and began attending a church in North Seattle. He ended up becoming friends with the Rogers, who happened to be Erika's cousins and good friends. The Rogers started scheming months before our actual meeting, asking questions and dropping hints to each of us separately.
