The founder and CEO of Don Roberto Jewelers opened the first store in downtown Stockton, Calif. in 1972. Downtown Stockton at that time was the old fashion central valley district. You would have a mixture of people, people with money, farmers struggling to make ends meet and people looking for help. Our customers did not have the funds to pay the cash for the merchandise we had. We developed a credit "easy payment" system so our client could afford to purchase the merchandise in our cases.
