Doctors Opposing Circumcision
Professor George C. Denniston, M.D., M.P.H., founded Doctors Opposing Circumcision (DOC) in 1995 to protect the normal genitalia of infants and discourage their unnecessary surgical cultural modification.
DOC is a non-profit membership corporation with an international set of members from six continents. DOC is a Washington corporation, which maintains its international headquarters in Seattle, Washington, USA, overlooking beautiful Puget Sound. We provide a voice for physicians who oppose the practice of child circumcision in accordance with our Mission Statement.
We are an affliate of the Alliance for Transforming the Lives of Children and a member of the International Coalition for Genital Integrity. We also collaborate with other organizations to advance genital integrity.
