Description
The principals of Discoveries in Art, Terri and Steven Certilman, have traveled the Caribbean and Latin America collecting art for more than twenty years. After many years of art hunting in Haiti, they have centered their efforts in Cuba, where the opportunities to find the new and exciting are nearly limitless. Discoveries in Art was founded in 2001 with the company's first commercial show, Nuevo Arte de Cuba, held at the Flinn Gallery in Greenwich, Connecticut. The mission of Discoveries In Art is to promote the exchange of art and culture between the people of the United States and their Cuban neighbors 90 miles to the south. To do that, Discoveries in Art organizes and produces exhibitions of Cuban art, and lends works to other exhibitors. In the future we hope to bring Cuban artists to America for special programs and workshops. All of our works can be leased or loaned, as well as purchased.
