Description
The R&D staff started development of the core Dieselpoint indexing algorithms in mid-1999, and went live with version 1.0 in mid-2000. Since then, the product has grown to be the most sophisticated solution on the market for applications that require full-text, navigational, and parametric search.
The Dieselpoint name reflects our industrial origins. Our search "engine" was originally designed to handle engineered industrial products. The word "diesel" captures the strength and power of what we were trying to create.
One engineering textbook describes the "diesel point" as the point at which the combination of heat and pressure in a diesel engine causes ignition. We like to think that our software can ignite possibilities for your company, too.
