Description

"Yankee Doodle-1875" by Thomas Nast (1840-1902). The drawing was published in Harper's Magazine in honor of America's first centennial celebration. I have indexed numerous books about American history and biography and have recently completed one about the song, "Yankee Doodle."

Edouard Manet (1832-1883) painted "The Waitress (Le serveuse de bocks)" in 1879. It is oil on canvas and measures 30 1/2 x 25 1/2 in. It currently lives at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. Manet is one of my favorite artists and was the subject of my thesis in my undergraduate major ofart history. In addition, I have indexed numerous books on cooking and wine.

This is Leonardo da Vinci's (c. 1690-1730) drawing for a calculator. It is one of the first mechanical "computers" produced in the Western world. The bulk of my current indexing involves embedded indexing of computer manuals. Most of my work has been focused on Visual Basic and databases.
