John Dhane received his bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and received his dental degree from Loyola University of Chicago, Illinois in 1979. After completing a General Practice Residency at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, Dr. Dhane completed his Orthodontic Residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Dr. Dhane is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontists.
He has had several articles published in the Orthodontic Literature and was invited to display his work at the 1995 National Meeting of The American Association of Orthodontists. Dr. Dhane attained the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Army.
