Jazzhus Dexter opened on August 31. 1991. From the beginning, it was run as a professional jazz house with a repertoire covering every variation of jazz, and also blues and world music.
There are only two specific jazz houses in Demark; Copenhagen Jazz house and Dexter. Here, you will find a programme that focuses on contemporary jazz. Concerts every Friday and Saturday.
Since the Music Conservatory of Funen started teaching rhythmic music, there has been a lot of movement in the regional jazz community. Never has there been so many good musicians on Funen as now.
