This is my first attempt at blogging. To some extent I was inspired by an ex-colleague Tim Bray and his ongoing site. I now read with some amusement on his site that blogging has been declared dead. Oh well, I guess everyone should experience being a late adopter at some time. Since the site is called Derek on Design I will be focusing on the design aspects of my job. Since most of the stuff I do is covered by an NDA I will explore the design world in a general fashion.
