Delta Caps Initiators (D.C.I) was created March 2003 by the OMNIA Group (SAR) to exploit the know-how acquired by the ten years old company Delta Caps International in explosive and blasting engineering for mining, quarrying and civil engineering. D.C.I.'s main activities are focusing on developing and promoting electronic initiation systems.
D.C.I. designed the DELTADET, an electronic detonator for mining. Deltadet is a high-tech and consumable product which potential market is several hundred million units a year. The market is just taking off but will be, within 5 to 10 years, around 1 billion euros a year. The market is mainly located in North America, South America, Southern Africa, Australia and Europe. Less than ten companies have developed an electronic detonator.
D.C.I.'s product is acknowledged by the biggest players of the explosives business as being the safest and the most efficient electronic detonator in the world.
