- Thanks for checking out the DC Wake website. This forum traces its roots back to a late (and drunken) night at the Alexandria Red Cross Water front festival in 2005 watching the fireworks by the water when my wife said "Honey, it would be so nice if we could be sitting out on the water watching the fireworks". No more then a week later, Tim's Rivershore in Woodbridge was the location for an event with the North Atlantic Marine Group and Asylum Wake Skate and Snow where they were taking people out to try to get up on the wakeboard...Neither Lisa or I got up that day, but we were bit. About a week later, on July 3rd 2005, Lisa, Chris (my cousin), and I took an early morning ride down to Raleigh, NC, to pick up my newly (eBay purchased) 1999 Moomba Outback.
