About Dave Fox
Dave Fox is an award-winning humor and travel writer, and public speaker. He also spends several months in Europe each year as a tour guide for Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door. A former news anchor for Wisconsin Public Radio, he has written for a variety of newspapers, magazines, and book publishers including:
Dave won the 2004 Book Proposal Contest sponsored by the Erma Bombeck Writers' Workshop and Author House Books. Author House awarded Dave a 2,000 dollar publishing and promotions package for his proposal to write the book, Getting Lost: Mishaps of an Accidental Nomad. The collection of humorous essays about things that have gone awry in his overseas travels is scheduled for publication in early 2005.
Dave also recently released The Fox that Quacked: Essays from Planet Earth, an audiobook of his humor essays. The CD includes humorous stories from home and abroad. It is available on his website at www.davethefox.com.
