My name is Samantha Cummings and I’d like to say a big HELLO to everyone who uses the darlingtontown website.
I took over the website from its founder Mark Burton on the 11 th January 2006, exactly 8 years since the site went ‘live’. The website was started by Mark when Darlington had very little in the way of an Internet presence. Mark wanted to create somewhere on the Internet where people could find out about Darlington within a few clicks of their mouse rather than searching the entire Internet for hours.
I have a real passion for Darlington as it is my hometown and a great place to live. My two children have also been brought up in the town and I share many of Marks views and enthusiasm for improving the local environment in which we all live.
