- Welcome to the 7th annual Cybersocket Web Awards -- the only event of its kind that honors the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender websites. Each year, outstanding websites are recognized for their achievements in 28 different Surfer categories and 12 different Industry categories. Nominees are selected by both web surfers who select the Surfer's Choice awards and by industry professionals who select the Industry Choice awards. At our annual awards show, the winners are announced and presented with trophies. We feel that it is essential to honor these individuals and companies as being technological entrepreneurs, important agents of free expression and cultural change, and innovators in queer media and entertainment.
