Cugini Soccer is an Italian scuola calcio (soccer school) committed to providing the BEST soccer training for young soccer players, recreational or travel, in a fun and stimulating environment, at the most affordable rates. Cugini ("cousins" in Italian and pronounced "koo-genie") believes that excellent training and coaching is THE source for not only bringing out the best soccer skills in each child but for enhancing fine character.
As an official Italian scuola calcio, every Cugini trainer and coach closely follow the same successful Italian player development program. This brings consistency to the training for all Cugini players and ensures a child's progress even if a team changes coaches or trainers.
Cugini coaches are not selected by parents, they are selected by Cugini's President and Director of Training with additional input from Cugini's Board of Directors and our Advisor from the Italian National Olympic Committee. Cugini believes that in order for a serious youth soccer program to be successful, it must be directed by true soccer professionals. Therefore, we have a full complement of licensed coaches and trainers in Virginia and at training facilities in Italy. This allows us to bring additional Italian UEFA "A" licensed coaches from Italy to the U.S.; take teams to Italy each Thanksgiving, Spring Break, and Summer for training and tournaments; offer training for coaches in Italy; and arrange tryouts for the most talented players with numerous professional Italian clubs, from Premier League Serie A teams down to professional Serie D clubs.
