Description
The Connecticut Gay Men's Chorus, now in its twentieth anniversary season, has just been named "Best Vocal Group in Connecticut" in the 2005 Connecticut Magazine Readers' Poll.
The CGMC presents two fully-staged and costumed sets of concert events each season (in December and March/April) in four locations throughout Connecticut: the Shubert Theater in New Haven, the Bushnell in Hartford, the Stamford Center for the Arts, and White Hall, WCSU, Danbury. It also stages an annual outdoor concert/party, Spring Fling, each June at Edgerton Park, New Haven. The annual CGMC audience is over 10,000.
In addition, the CGMC is a regular guest artist at many other venues, including the Ivoryton Playhouse, the Little Theatre of Manchester, the University of Connecticut at Storrs and the Garde Arts Center, New London.
