As part of Gov. Jim Douglas' President's Initiative, The Council of State Governments will present a "Silver Society" award to recognize an exemplary state program that addresses issues related to healthy aging.
Applicants for the award can address a range of healthy aging issues, including community-based care, elder-ready communities, family caregiver support, housing, in-home long-term care, nutrition, physical activity and transportation.
