The Jharkhand Chapter of the Cardiological Society of India was formed in the year 2002, after the creation of the state of Jharkhand. It enjoys a membership of 60 life members under the guidance of Prof. Dr. R. C. N. Sahay, the first President and the founder Secretary, Dr. H. D. Sharan. This Chapter has, since its inception, been an active forum for the dissemination of knowledge and ideas in the field of Cardiology.
