Description
Counter-strike is a game that has been around for quite some years now and has changed the way online games work forever, it was the first game to introduce real team work and went from early betas to the full product you now play. Recently Valve released Counter-strike: Source which is an updated version of the game running on the new Source technology, but for many the love started with the old betas.
Two teams, Counter-Terrorist & Terrorist are pit against each other on a series of levels or maps with a variety of game-modes. There have been many types but the ones that remain are CS (Hostage Rescue) DE (Bomb-Defusion) and AS (Assassination). Below is the full lengthy history of the game.
Note: Version 1.6 & CS: Source are only available through Valve's Steam technology, full change logs can be found via that system.
