Schmidt was the first to introduce a trailer mounted crusher to the USA in 1982 at the CONEXPO (the # 1 exhibition to purchase heavy equipment) in Chicago and we were the first to exhibit a track mounted mobile crusher at the CONEXPO in Las Vegas in 1993. The 180,000-pound track mounted crusher, which was on display at the show in Las Vegas was purchased and used on a HWY job in Topeka, Kansas. During the course of the job, Johann Schmidt, President and Owner of Crushtek taught HWY engineers from all over the USA how to recycle highways. As a result, HWY recycling became mandatory in the 90’s.

Whereas many manufacturers rely on other companies to manufacture their product line, Crushtek LLC is one of the only recycling equipment companies to actually manufacture the products they distribute.
