Description
Crowntex's manufacturing facilities are located in a 18 acre site on Theparak Road in Samut Prakan province, just outside of the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. This location includes the head office building and three factories behind the building. Total covered area include 180,000 square meters housing the administrative and sales offices, the weaving mill, the coating plant, plus raw material warehouse and finished product storage areas.
These new computer-controlled automatic rapier weaving looms from Dornier of Germany were recently installed in our weaving mill. Equipped with Staubli Jacquard and Dobby attachments from France, these new looms are utilized for weaving fabrics with special patterns and effects. They are directly linked to the computers in the company's Fabric Design Center through a Local Area Network to download design softwares for the looms' microprocessor and to monitor their production status and performance.
Crowntex's four fabric coating lines use either dip or knife-over-roll methods of applying special formulated coating mixture onto the substrate fabric's surface before the calendering, heat setting and air drying processes take place. Both single-sided and double-sided coatings are offered in a variety of transparency levels, solid and mixed colors and surface feel and textures. A flocking attachment is available to produce flocked fabrics using single or multiple passes.
