Court competed with over 150 of some of the best caricature artists in the world and was judged, by his peers, to be the top caricature artist for 2005, at the end of a four day long convention at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino. The days were filled with seminars, workshops, and organized drawing competitions. The artists come from around the world ready to learn, experiment and push their caricature skills to new limits. Artists bring their portfolios, original artwork, and supplies for creating caricatures on the spot which show caricatures to be not just a quick souvenir from the midway, but a fine art form and a subject for compelling illustrations and portraits.

Court Jones is a San Diego-based artist who has been doing caricatures professionally since 1996. In addition to working as a traditional illustrator and painter, he was employed as Lead Caricature Artist in several major theme parks, like Sea World San Diego, Legoland, The San Diego Zoo, Knott's Berry Farm, and was the Assistant Manager of art operations at Six Flags Elitch Gardens in Denver, Colorado.
