- The Country Baker was started back in 1994 when I tasted the most deliciously light and fluffy piece of bread I have ever had! It was milled in a grain mill and kneaded in a Bosch Universal Mixer owned by a friend of mine. I couldn't believe how tasty the bread was but the 'lightness' of the texture was what really intrigued me. This was bread that my children would eat sandwiches from! After seeing how the entire process worked, (it only took 1 ½ hours from start to finish!) I knew I had to have these machines!
